Affects Version/s: 7.0.0 DXP SP2
Fix Version/s: Master
Steps to reproduce:
1 - Start DXP de-7, log in as admin
2 - Create another user, "firstname.lastname@example.org"
3 - Add an Activities portlet to a page
4 - Add a blog or wiki or any other portlet that allows commenting
5 - As a control comment, write something long, such as:
"hello yes this is a long comment I'm just here to write something because what you wrote is not clear or misleading or I don't even know hey look a bear." (because: this will show you how long comments the activities portlet allows)
6 - Add a new comment, for example:
"okay hey @daniel.javorszky how's it going can I have a talk with you"
7 - Check the Activities portlet
Expected result: You should see the entire message (give or take a few characters..) in the activities portlet
Actual result: You only see "okay hey ."
As I observed, on Master the behavior is slightly different than on DXP de-7 (see screenshots):
On Master the cut does not related to a mention ('@username'), but the portlet cuts both ends of every longer comments. No regularity has been found until this point how many characters are cut.
