Side Panel does not dynamically wrap with portlet border when document is selected in list view

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a DM portlet to site page
2. Add a basic document
3. Toggle list view
4. Click the information icon - this is important to do first before the next step
5. Check the checkbox to select the document

Expected results:
Side Panel opens and wraps with portlet.

Actual results:
Side Panel opens and protrudes out of portlet.

The Side Panel opens and wraps nicely with the portlet if you reverse steps 4 and 5.

Reproduced on:
Tomcat 8.0.32 + MySQL 5.6.
