Liferay DXP's Dynamic Data List Display permits spreadsheet view so that users can directly input data into a list via spreadsheet display. If the Liferay DXP server experiences an outage, the user is not notified of the fact that the server is down.
The challenge with the current functionality is that the user who is not aware of the server outage will continue to input data because they are unaware of the server outage. It seems that Dynamic Data List Display is unable to sense the change in server state.
If Liferay DXP experiences a server outage, Dynamic Data List Display should...
A. Save the data as a local draft which can be committed once the server / session is active again.
B. Display a warning that the server is down and prevent further input.
