Affects Version/s: 7.0.X EE, Master
Searching for Categories in the control panel only returns results for the level that the search was executed from (i.e. subcategories are not found). In 6.2, you could search all categories at once within a vocabulary, but in DXP, there is no way to do this. In master, you can work around this with the "Flattened Categories" configuration, but that ticket cannot be backported to DXP because it is a story ticket. We will change the behavior to make it search for all the categories within the vocabulary no matter what level you are searching from; as it is now, this is a really inconvenient feature to lose for users who have a large hierarchy of categories.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create the following Category/Subcategory structure:
- Subcategory 1
- Subcategory 2
- Subcategory 3
- Subcategory 4
- Subcategory 5
2. From the top directory in the control panel (i.e. where Category A and Category B are listed), search for "Subcategory".
Expected Result: Subcategories are returned.
Actual Result: No results are returned.
