      Description

      Steps to reproduce

      • Create an ext artifact with a kernel extension e.g. example-ext.war
      • Copy that WAR to LIFERAY_HOME/deploy
      • Wait until the bundle is deployed

      Expected result

      • The kernel ext jar (e.g. ext-example-ext-kernel.jar) is added to the kernel module (wildfly-10.0.0/modules/com/liferay/portal/main)
      • The JAR is referenced in the module.xml

      Current result

      • The JAR resides in the correct directory
      • the JAR is not referenced in the module.xml
      • I need to add a manual reference:
        <module name="com.liferay.portal" xmlns="urn:jboss:module:1.0">
          <resources>
            <resource-root path="ext-example-ext-kernel.jar" />
            ...

      Possible solutions

      • Add a dummy JAR to the prepackaged module which is later replaced by the deployment of an ext artifact and reference that one in the shipped module.xml.
      • Or modify the module.xml during deployment of the ext artifact
