iFrame window disappears after clicking Save as Draft when adding Related Asset

When publishing with a related asset on the Asset Publisher portlet, such as Blog Entry, iFrame window disappears after clicking Save as Draft (or Publish). Additionally, no success message appears either.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Add Calendar portlet on a page
2. Add Blog portlet on a page
3. Add Blog Entry
4. Add Asset Publisher portlet on a page
5. Click Add ( + ) Calendar Event via Asset Publisher portlet
6. Click Select under Related Assets
7. Select Blogs Entry
8. Click the created Blogs Entry
9. Click Save as Draft (or Publish)

Expected result : The following should happen:

The new Calendar Event will be saved as a draft and iFrame window remains present, along with a success message appearing

Actual result : The following actually happens:

iFrame window disappears after clicking Save as Draft (or Publish), and no success message appears
