Currently you are only able to configure the Social Activity portlet at Site level:
- Login with Admin user.
- Select one Site from Control Panel and go to Social Activity configuration section.
- Enable social activity e.g.: for Message Boards and update points for Add Message participation points.
- Select another Site, and check the Social Activity configuration
- Social Activity was not enabled for that site and Points were not updated.
In case you need to configure this portlet for a big amount of Sites, it would be beneficial to do this at one place, at portal level, which sets the default for your Sites.
Another option would be to implement export/import features for Social Activity configuration, so that you could export and import the configuration, or use it with Site Templates.
