QA Test Score:4
Steps to reproduce:
- Navigate to default auto-generated template search page
- Click on the "Configure additional search options" portlet and enable "Allow Empty Searches"
- Navigate to the portal home page and perform a search using the embedded search bar without entering any keywords
Expected result:
User is taken to the search page and a keyword-free search should be performed.
Actual result:
No search is performed and user stays on the home page.
Note:
Keyword-free search works correctly for the embedded search bar and the in page search bar when searching within the template search page. Keyword-free search will work for the home page search bar if you add the search option portlet to the home page and enable "Allow Empty Searches" via that portlet. However, enabling "Basic Facet Selection" on the home page does not affect behavior on the template search page.
Reproduced on:
Tomcat 9.0.6 + MySQL 5.7.22
