Affects Version/s: Master
- Use Header Search Bar to perform a search - will be sent to Search Page where results are displayed
- Still in Search Page, change preferences of Header Search Bar: Scope -> "Everything", Keywords parameter name -> "keywords"
- Still in Search Page, use Header Search Bar again to perform a search and examine new results
Search is seemingly still performed using the old preferences. ("This site", "q")
The preferences are actually coming from the second Search Bar at the Search page body. Must configure its preferences as well, duplicating values from the Header Search Bar, before search can be performed as expected.
Also, any further changes require configuring preferences in two places again.
Search is performed using the new Header Search Bar preferences, with no need for extra configuration.
Any further changes only require configuring preferences once, at the Header Search Bar.
("Primary Search Page" is defined herein as the "destination" configured at the Header Search Bar. The default is "/search", the standard Search Page.)
When in the "Primary Search Page", a search from the Header Search Bar will land at the same "Primary Search Page" and honor the Header Search Bar's preferences; a search from a Search Bar in the "Primary Search Page" body will ignore its own preferences and use the Header Search Bar's preferences.
When in any page other than the "Primary Search Page", a search from a Search Bar in the page body will land at its configured "destination", and honor its own preferences; a search from the Header Search Bar will land at the "Primary Search Page" and honor the Header Search Bar's preferences.
