Currently when a document is added two URLs are generated. One is a permalink URL that contains the document name and UUID. The UUID is critical to the functionality of the link, removing it will cause the link to break if the file's name is changed. The second is a WebDAV link which does not contain the file's UUID instead it uses the file's name. Consequently if the file is renamed the WebDAV URL breaks, where as a name change does not impact the permalink behavior. Both of these conditions fall under the intended behavior for the URLs.
This can be problematic if a user deletes a file to upload an updated version of the file. This is treated as a new file by the server which means it gets a UUID. In turn breaking the permalink URL. While the old WebDAV link will still work if the file's name is the same, when the file's name is not the same the WebDAV breaks as well.
A third URL could be supplied, providing a "Vanilla URL" that is without the UUID. Thus if a user then deletes and re-uploads the same file with no name changes, this clean URL won't break.
