To reproduce:
1. create a site
2. create a child site for the site
3. enable remote staging for the child site
4. in the parent site create a web content structure with template
5. in the child site create a web content based off of the parent structure and template
6. do a custom publication

Actual result:
publication fails with message

The Web Content Article web content could not be imported because of the following error: null.

exception is thrown to console. see trace here.

Expected:
remote publication to succeed
