Invalid URL exceptions are thrown when publishing Blogs Image through item selector

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add a blog entry with cover image or content image
2. In Item Selector, navigate to the Upload Image tab (or if a blog image already exists, to the Blogs Images tab)
3. Select picture
4. Click Add

Expected result:
Image is added with no issues

Actual result:
Image is added, but console errors appear.

This issue has been appearing since last year, but it was only recently noticed.

Reproduced on:
Tomcat 9.0.10 + MySQL 5.7.
Portal master 9b547036c9f2629dd34eadaa3fb1ce1dd10f6212
