    • Resolution: Unresolved

      Description

      Steps to Reproduce:
      1) Add the following to the portal-ext.properties file:
dl.file.extensions=.bmp,.css,.doc,.docx,.dot,.gif,.gz,.htm,.html,.jpg,.js,.lar,.odb,.odf,.odg,.odp,.ods,.odt,.pdf,.png,.ppt,.pptx,.rtf,.swf,.sxc,.sxi,.sxw,.tar,.tiff,.tgz,.txt,.vsd,.xls,.xlsx,.xml,.zip,.jrxml (or any subset of extensions, therein)
      2) Navigate to Admin -> Content -> Documents and Media and add a new Basic Document
      3) Use the File Browse to find a document to upload; ensure the file has one of the valid extensions listed in the properties file (e.g., .doc, .pdf, .xlsx, etc.)
      4) Add a title for the document that does not include a valid extension
      5) Edit the document's description and publish
      6) Click on the document to view it's details
      7) Under Version History, choose to Revert to version 1.0

      Expected Results:
The document will be reverted to version 1.0

      Actual Results:
Errors are thrown in the UI (see below) and the version is not reverted; no errors appear in the log files

      Your request failed to complete.

Document names must end with one of the following extensions: .bmp, .css, .doc, .docx, .dot, .gif, .gz, .htm, .html, .jpg, .js, .lar, .odb, .odf, .odg, .odp, .ods, .odt, .pdf, .png, .ppt, .pptx, .rtf, .swf, .sxc, .sxi, .sxw, .tar, .tiff, .tgz, .txt, .vsd, .xls, .xlsx, .xml, .zip, .jrxml.

      Note

This is a 6.2.x only issue. In 7.0.x and above the original file name is stored in the database and is used to check for a valid extension. This is a large change however and includes modifications to the database so it cannot be backported.
