Multiple searches on the same search term returns suggestions inconsistently

Steps to reproduce:

1. Reindex spell check indexes as a workaround for LPS-72549
2. Navigate to default search page
3. Add a Suggestions widget to the page
4. Within the Suggestions widget configuration, enable the "Display "Did you mean: ..." checkbox, leave the threshold at 50, and save
5. Search for "algorith"
6. Refresh the page many times

Result: After each refresh, sometimes the suggested term "algorithm" appears in the Suggestion widget, sometimes nothing appears.

Note: This is NOT reproducible on the classic search widget.
