Affects Version/s: 7.2.0 RC3, Master
Component/s: Web Content > Web Content Administration
In 7.1 (and up until 7.2 Beta 2), when adding a basic web content, a user simply had to add the web content article (no need to select a template). This is because "Basic Web Content" is the default value for the template field. Similarly, for custom structures and templates, the first created template would automatically be selected as the default value.
However, now what we see in master/7.2 is, when adding a basic web content, the "default template" field says "No Template" by default. The user needs to explicitly select "Basic Web Content". The same goes for custom structures and templates.
I've attached videos comparing the behavior between 7.2 and 7.1.
Steps to reproduce:
- Add a basic web content (or alternatively, create a structure and template, and add a web content article based on that structure)
- Expand the "Default Template" panel
The field should say "Basic Web Content" (or say the name of the created template)
Previous behavior (7.1):
The field says "No Template". The user would need to intentionally select "Basic Web Content" as the template.
New behavior (7.2):
