After creating the very first asset of a site through asset publisher, asset publisher will not show the asset without a refresh

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create a new site
2. Add a page to the site
3. Add an Asset Publisher widget to the page
4. Add an asset (I reproduced with web content and blogs)

Expected result:
After adding the asset, the asset appears in the Asset Publisher.

Actual result:
The Asset Publisher will still say "no results". The asset appears after refresh. This only happens to the very first asset of the site.
