As a page author (such as a Marketer) I want to map editable background images of a fragment to image fields of an existing content so that I can reuse an image already selected for a given content that is already being mapped to other elements of the fragment.
Edition of background images
Currently the page editor allows specifying the background image of any new section built with the Section Builder. Also, fragment developers can specify that certain background images are editable by providing a data-lfr-background-image-id HTML attribute.
In both cases, the page editor provides the user with an image selector
Mapping to existing content
For editable elements in a fragment of type text and image, it is already possible to map them to (compatible) fields of existing content instead of inline editing the value.
In this Story, we aim to extend the mapping capability to support mapping fields of type image to be used as background image
- Given a section builder layout has been added to a page, when the page author edits the background image, then an option to map to an existing content must be provided
- Given a fragment which contain one or more editable background images has been added to a page, when the page author edits a background image, then an option to map to an existing content must be provided
