Affects Version/s: 7.1.X, 7.2.X, Master
When attempting to create a new page using an existing site template, a validation error will be thrown if a vocabulary requires pages to have a category.
This has been discussed on PTR-1113 as something which needs to be resolved right now, even though the full and complete solution may be something different (such as creating an extra page/window to allow the user to select a category if one is required). For now, the solution will be to allow initial page creation when using a page template (same outcome when creating a blank page), but subsequent updates must include a category to be saved.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go to Categorization --> Vocabulary and edit the "Topic".
- At the ASSOCIATED ASSET TYPES, select "Page" and set "Required", then save.
- Go to Build (Site Builder) --> Pages --> select a Public Page and then "Global Templates".
- Select a template and try to create a Page.
Actual Result: an exception error appears in console, the screen is frozen. However, the page is created. See screenshot for error: Pagetemplateerror.txt
Expected Result: The Page Template should be created successfully with no errors.
