overwriting javascript js with hook needs cache clearing

    Details

      Description

LRDOCS-298 states, that with a hook a js file can be overwritten.
It is true - technically - but because Liferay aggregates js files and caches the aggregated file, moreover, the cache is not invalidated when a hook is deployed, the overwritten javascript file will not be sent to the browser.

Liferay needs restarted or the caches must be emptied on the Control Panel, Server Administration, Clear content buttons.

      Moreover:
in Eclipse with Liferay plugin, only the jsp/jspf files can be browsed for hooks, not css nor js
