      Description

       

      Liferay specific applications with Liferay portal backend (e.g. Sync) can provide a prepared OAuth2 setup on the portal side.

       

      This includes creating a new OAuth2 client database record to be used by remote clients. This scenario makes sense for public clients (see client types) which don’t use client secret and can share / reuse client id. Can be later used in REQ023 Use QR codes, email links or other out-of-bound channel to exchange authorized tokens

       

      Moreover, it would be required from backend applications with own exposed API to

      • Declare the scopes they use

      Create custom SAP policy with the scopes definition, if applicable. See REQ022 Integrate OAuth2 with SAP
