Private Messaging portlet fails to compile due to changes in the attachments in Message Boards

When compiling the Private Message portlet we get this error:

private-messaging-portlet/docroot/WEB-INF/src/com/liferay/privatemessaging/portlet/PrivateMessagingPortlet.java
cannot find symbol method getAttachmentsDir()

This affects only to Social Office using Liferay Portal 6.2.X
