Affects Portal Version/s:6.2.x, 6.2.0 CE GA1, 6.2.10 EE GA1
Here are the steps to reproduce the issue:
- Configure Liferay to use a valid email address in Control Panel -> Server Administration -> Mail
- Add an SO Site
- Invite a user to the site by email using a valid email address
- Go the email address used for the invitation and view the email
Expected result:
The email should have clear steps on what to do
Actual result:
The wording in the email is ambiguous.
The first link says "Follow the link below to confirm or ignore this invitation:" however, the link initially takes a user to the create account page before any notification can be viewed. The link should say instead "Follow the link below to create an account:" or something similar
The second link says "Once your account is created, you can visit [site name] at:" however, the link initially takes the user to the notification. Users will be likely led to believe that the link is a direct link to the site itself instead of the notification so the link should say something along the lines of "Once your account is created, you can confirm or ignore this invitation to [site name] at:"
