      Description

      1) Install Sync
      2) Enter Server Credentials, select Site Settings
      3) Click OK
      4) Reboot Computer (this also shuts down the locally running server so the server is no longer available).
      5) Sync starts up.
      6) Open Sync Properties.
      7) Uncheck Start Liferay Sync On Login.

You are unable to click OK because the server is not up and running.

      This is an awkward constraint.

The "Start Liferay Sync On Login" checkbox is only disabled if it's not supported. Currently, this will happen when ...

        1) You are running in a development environment (like Eclipse).
        2) You are not running under Windows or OS X.

        To replicate this issue:

        1) Start Portal
        2) Install Sync Client and Run
        3) Configure sync client to portal, by default start on login is checked.
        4) Stop Portal
        5) Open Sync Client Properties.
        6) Uncheck Start on Log in Box.

At this point you cannot save that change. The OK button only enables when the server is running and the credentials are good. Therefore there is no way to change the Start on login unless you are able to connect to the server with the correct credentials.
