Affects Version/s: None
Component/s: Content Targeting
1) The problem
Audience targeting stores anonymous users behavior analytics, which implies the storage of a lot of analytics data into the database.
There are projects where customers are not interested in anonymous analytics, so they do not want to store all these analytics on their database.
2) The solution
Add a configuration option so that customers can disable anonymous analytics data storage.
3) How to test this?
Under Control Panel > Instance Settings > Audience Targeting Analytics a switch gives the Administrator the ability to disable the storage of anonymous users data.
4) What impact does this have?
The consequence of disabling the tracking of anonymous users is that they won't be segmented by rules based on their activity (e.g. Score Points, Page Visited, Content Visited) and their data won't be stored in the database.
